Lee Avenges Only Defeat With Shutout Win

Irish world title prospect, Andy Lee has avenged his only loss on his 28 fight  record with a shutout points win against Bryan Vera (98-91, 99-90, 99-90) in New Jersey.

The rematch was 3 1/2 years in the making and Lee wasted no time catching Vera with sharp and solid punches in their 10 round Middleweight bout.

Lee was  very clinical in his performance although being caught a few times from the wild punch of Vera. In the closing seconds of round 2, Vera was caught and knocked down momentarily.

Vera suffered a nasty cut beside his left eye which was from a Lee punch during round 4. It was a nasty cut but didn’t affect the length of the fight.

Lee was never in doubt during the fight with Vera’s punches very ineffective. Lee now moves into world title contention while Vera has now lost 5 of his last 8.
